Zomba Essay and Art Competition

WESM Zomba branch introduced a poster and essay competition to the affiliate school wildlife clubs within the branch. 

Primary school clubs were asked to design a poster with a message to encourage people to take part in a National Clean Up that takes place on the second Friday of every month whilst secondary school clubs were asked to write an essay in answering the questions: 

 “What difference would better waste management make to the environment of Malawi?” 

“What ideas do you have to improve the management of waste around your area?” 

25 school wildlife clubs with 232 competitors registered for this competition. The Winners’ awards were backpacks, mathematical instruments, exercise books, maria books, WESM calendars, human geography books and atlases. 

10 winners were identified based on the innovative ideas, English grammar and description alignment.
