On 5th March, 2022, WESM had its Annual General Meeting and Coordination Meeting which took place concurrently at its headquarters in Limbe, Blantyre. WESM uses this kind of meeting to reflect on achievements and challenges and at the same time strategizing on the possible way forward.
The 2022 AGM meeting had two sessions (morning and afternoon). During the morning session, it was for board and coordination meeting taking place concurrently, in these meetings members took time to reflect on the challenges and the achievements so far WESM has contributed to the country towards the environmental issues and to its membership as well as its staff.
Among other things, WESM unveiled its five year strategic plan and consolidated work policies. In the afternoon, the Annual General Meeting took place where all WESM branch representatives (coordination team), WESM board members and Trustees came together joined by the media to mark the launch of its 75th anniversary celebration which took take place on 3rd June, 2022 and also elected its new Board member executive committee as per WESM’s constitution.
